BIRDS has been working with backward Taluks of Bijapur, Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad, Kodagu, Gulbarga, Haveri, Yadgir, Koppal, Gadag and various Districts of Karnataka.
Bijapur Integrated Rural Development Society (BIRDS) was established on 2nd October 1989 on the day of Gandhi Jayanti and registered on 1st February 1990 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960. Mr. Mahantesh Agasimundin is the founder of the organization. BIRDS has been working with the vulnerable target group of families especially - landless, physically challenged, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/STs), small and marginal farmers, women on socio-economic issues, and development of rural poor through diversified developmental activities.

ನವಧಾರಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ
ಧ್ವನಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಇವರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾದ 18 ತಿಂಗಳ "ನವಧಾರಾ" ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕುರಿತು ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಪತ್ರ (MOU) ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಧ್ವನಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ನ Executive Director ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಿನಾಥ್ ಸರ್ ಅವರು MOU ಅನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ದಿನಾಂಕ 04.06.2026 ರಿಂದ 06.06.2026 ರವರೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬನಶಂಕರಿಯ APEX ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ತರಬೇತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
Staff Training
A staff training programme was conducted to strengthen the capacity of team members and enhance their understanding of organizational systems and programmes. The training included a brief orientation on organizational policies, procedures, and code of conduct to ensure compliance and effective implementation. A review of ongoing programmes was also carried out, focusing on achievements, challenges, reporting requirements, and future action plans. The session provided an opportunity for staff to clarify doubts, share experiences, and improve coordination for better programme delivery.
